David is another one of our great BTC triathletes who will be representing us at Club Champs! Apart from fighting for BTC to win the overall trophy it seems there will also be a bit of in-club rivalry going on in the 55-59 age group to see who can get the most club points and be crowned our BTC age group champion! We talked to David about the competition and how he got involved in triathlon.
Alan is a BTC Committee Member who has helped out the club taking some of our BTC social rides and will be competing at Club Champs for us this year! He has recently taken on the 6 Foot Track Marathon and is competing in the 100km Ultra Trail Run in May. We caught up with him to see how is training is going and how what his 6 Foot Track Marathon race was like!
You might know Aileen for her famous and amazing baking talents down at the club. Human Solutions Group (HSG) was established in January 2004, as a boutique executive search, HR services and recruitment consultancy. The firm was founded to provide a stronger consultative model to recruit and manage talent in both the Australian and International marketplace. All partners in the firm had worked for larger recruitment and consultancy firms and saw a chance to add value and services that were missing elsewhere in the market.
Load. Recover. Adapt. Load. Recover. Adapt.
As endurance athletes this is what we do day in and day out. The science of training and coaching is now fairly good at telling us how much load we need to apply to get the desired stimulus. The “art” of training and coaching is knowing how much recovery is required, and when it is required, to allow for the best adaptation to take place that results in the best possible performance. Under recover and fatigue will affect your performance. Over recover and you will start to lose fitness. Timing is crucial. Balance is key.
