Energy Link Performance Coaching

BTC has a long history of partnering with the professional coaches at Energy Link Performance Coaching. The coaching team provides structured training sessions for the BTC members three times a week from the start of September through to the end of April.

Coaches (L to R) Bruce, Christina, Owain & Lew

Bruce and Christina Thomas created Energy Link and are both former Australian Ironman Champions with over 20 years triathlon performance coaching experience.

Collaborating with fellow experienced athletes and triathlon coaches Lew Hartley and Owain Matthews, the Energy Link Performance Coaching team provide club members with access to the best quality training and guidance at BTC training sessions.

If you are interested in 1:1 coaching, have a chat to the coaches at a BTC training session or get in touch with Energy Link Performance Coaching.

Jack McPhee

For the past three seasons, BTC has partnered with Jack McPhee - founder of and head coach at Sydney Athletics Academy in order to provide a juniors training program for our club members aged 7 to 17 years.

Jack has a wealth of experience with younger athletes including coaching over 20 junior athletes up to national level (including multiple podium performances), providing a running program to 110 children from 11 schools as Head Coach at Jacks Jumping Joeys, and as Head Coach of Pittwater House cross country and athletics program. Jack is himself an experienced and accomplished triathlete, having represented Australia at the 2018 ITU Age Group World Championships, and completing and podium-ing in multiple Ironman triathlons.

If you are interested in 1:1 coaching with Jack, please have a chat with Jack at a BTC juniors training session or get in touch with Sydney Athletics Academy.

BTC could not exist without volunteers who donate their time and energy to running the club for the benefit of all it’s members. Our club committee comprises volunteers who are voted in at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in July each year. If you are interested in joining committee, please contact us and ensure you attend the next AGM.

We always need volunteers at our club events, especially BTC club races. If you want to give back to the club, please come and help! Take a look at the volunteer opportunities at upcoming BTC events here
