Scody Australian Triathlon Club Teams Championships

The Scody Australian Triathlon Club Teams Championships is on again. Last year's event was a well organised race with a great format. This event allows the three team members to draft together on the bike leg amongst other things.

 

Balmoral Triathlon Club had only one team in this event last year. It was a great format and everyone there from Balmoral and other clubs had a great day. The format requires two of the three team members to cross the line at the same time (a couple of seconds apart is okay). There can be some great tactics. If you have someone who is a strong rider but the number three runner then there is the option for that team member to take one for the team and lead the bike leg. The team does need to wait until everyone is out of the water before heading out on the bike leg.

Once you have entered you can bring as many members to race as you can get together. This means that you can get your club together for a great day of racing in a great competitive spirit for close to nicks! But wait there’s more, if your club purchases 20 or more garments from Scody they will cover your whole $500 entry fee. So your whole club WILL race for nicks!

 

This is a great day of racing and club morale building.

The event is on Sunday 4 October 2009 and entries are now open at www.t3events.com.au.

Also on the day will be The Scody Big 4 Classic Triathlon which will see the Big Banks, Professional Services, Emergency Services and Legal Firms battle it out, the Scody Just Tri It Triathlon and Enduro Triathlon and the Scody Just Tri It Kids Triathlon, so there is something for everyone.
